Each session covers the mandatory 402 hours IN-CLASS (approxmately 13 weeks) of the 4000 hour Agricultural Apprenticeship Horse Groom-600H Program.

I CAN-T.E.R. is an officially approved Training and Delivery Agency (T.D.A) for the Agricultural Apprenticeship Horse Groom - 600H Program. The mandatory in-class portion of the apprenticeship program can be obtained at I CAN-T.E.R. (402 hrs in-class). The remainder of the apprenticeship hours are to be completed while working within the horse industry under the guidance of a qualified employer. (3600 hrs on-the-job)
Ontario has an enormous horse industry covering various areas, including Thoroughbred, Quarter Horse and Standardbred racing, as well as a variety of quality equestrian establishments such as riding, breeding, driving, showing and much more! All of these areas require skilled individuals to meet the growing demands of this fast paced industry, that now has many approved and recognized standards in place, emphasizing safety for both horse and handler.
No previous horse experience needed. Pre-requisite - Grade 12 or Equivalency.
